Behind the Resale Process
Giving Your Anne Mulaire Piece a Second Life Takes More Than Simply Relisting It.
When you return an Anne Mulaire garment through our Resale Program, it begins a journey back to our studio. Every piece is handled individually and assessed for its condition, quality and resale potential.
Because We Care About the Clothes
We don't simply take a garment back and list it.
We care for it, prepare it, and give it the attention it deserves before finding it a new home. Because something you loved deserves to be loved again.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
1. Assessment
We carefully inspect each garment for condition, wear, imperfections and overall quality.
2. Clean & Prepare
Each piece is washed by the owner then cleaned, steamed, iron by us and prepared for its next chapter. This is often the most time-intensive part of the process.
3. Repair & Refresh
When needed, we make repairs or small adjustments to ensure the garment is ready to be worn again.
4. Photograph
Every garment is individually photographed to accurately show its condition, details and any visible imperfections.
5. List & Find a New Home
The garment is then prepared and listed online, where it can find someone who will love and wear it again.
Why Is the Resale Price Different From Your Credit?
We want to be transparent about how our Resale Program works.
The credit you receive when you return your garment is not the same as the eventual resale price. The difference helps cover the hands-on work required to assess, clean, prepare, repair, photograph, list and manage each individual garment.
Once those costs are covered, we retain only approximately 10–15% of the resale price to help cover the ongoing costs of the program, including shipping offers, online discounts, payment processing and managing each resale transaction. The majority of the value remains with you through your resale credit.
Our goal isn't to maximize profit from resale. It's to keep beautiful garments in circulation, give them another life, and make the process sustainable for both you and our small team.
